New Line of Compostable Bags Receives BPI Certification
These standards American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) D6400 and D6868 “scientifically prove a material will biodegrade, leaving no persistent synthetic residues,” according to the association.
BPI granted Nature’s Reward ASTM D6400 certification for its compostable products, which includes trash bags, lawn and leaf bags, toddler potty chair liners and shopping/merchandise bags. The line is made from PSM Bioplastics raw material and is designed for the collection and disposal of waste products in composts and composting facilities.
